Support Analyst
Harlan, IA
The Support Analyst will be responsible for maintaining current systems and ensuring availability of systems to end users, with the ability to tackle a wide range of issues and problems. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable knowledge and experience with Windows Office 365 and Personal Computer hardware as well as a good understanding with server/networking equipment and solutions. Experience at a small/mid-sized business environment is preferred. A wide range of knowledge, experience, and ability will be considered for this role.
Core Responsibilities:
- Work with IT & Management to maintain and improve server/network and systems.
- Man the Helpdesk. Manage tickets, ensure completion, and log solutions. Troubleshoot and solve issues related to clients, servers, network, printers, faxes, scanners, VPN, etc.
- Setup new devices. New user onboarding, upgraded switches, computer upgrades, etc.
- Ensure uptime. When a user/system/network segment is unavailable it is your responsibility to troubleshoot and fix the problem or determine when escalation is appropriate.
- Maintain Security. Keep software and firmware current. Follow established security guidelines, work with IT & Management to improve and adapt guidelines. Stay abreast of security trends.
- Analyze & improve. Every 6 months, submit a report with a summary of events and issues and suggestions of where/when/how to implement improvements. Perform network monitoring and analysis to implement performance tuning.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Effective communication skills. Must be able to communicate issues and solutions to executives, management, employees, and vendors.
- Refined problem-solving skills. Demonstrable knowledge and ability required.
- Ability to maintain a system and provide input for improvements.
Required Qualifications:

- A+, N+, Cisco, MCP or other entry level certificate.
- OR Associates Degree
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in small spaces, and assist with wiring and cabling duties.
Desired:
- Knowledge of IBM i.
