Python Developer
Remote or Omaha, NE Remote or Omaha, NE Hybrid
This is an amazing opportunity to join a team developing new applications and migrating legacy applications as a Python Developer. You will work directly with the Actuary Organization supporting applications specific to their organization including migrating Excel macros into Python scripts. Your primary focus will be solution-minded development while also maintaining existing scripts as needed.
Ideally you excel at critical thinking, best practices for source control and engineering. Together with your team you will enhance standards for the business.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Develop new and migrate existing applications using Python
- Develop APIs to support application integration
- Work directly with the Actuary team on a daily basis to fully understand applications and data
- Develop best practice for source control and engineering practices
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology related degree
- 3 - 5 years’ experience as a Python Developer working with SQL Server
- 3 - 5 years’ experience developing APIs
- 3 - 5 years’ experience with integration testing, unit tests and building test cases
- Experience with Git and Azure DevOps
- Experience with establishing standards for source control
- Experience with Excel Macros a plus
- Experience working with Actuaries and supporting Actuarial applications a plus

- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: 6-month contract with option to extend
