Hybrid in Omaha, NE
The Scrum Master drives Agile and Lean frameworks that result in quality product delivery, continuous improvement, and timely releases. Terrific opportunity to be part of a transformative, state-of-the-art enterprise technology environment and a long-term automation effort.
Responsibilities:
* Facilitates Scrum ceremonies i.e. Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives
* In a Scaled Agile model, facilitates scaled planning for the team-e.g. Pre-Planning/Preparation, PI Planning Events and represents the team in Scrum of Scrums/ART Syncs
* Effective facilitation skills at the team and dept level; Remains neutral, applies conflict management & establishes trust
* Is comfortable having difficult conversations and actively coaching other leaders, peer roles and individual contributors on continual improvement, growth mindset and maturing current Agile adoption
* Understanding of Lean-Agile metrics to help teams continually improve. Assesses the Agile/Scrum maturity of the team & coaches the team to higher levels of maturity
* Understanding of the mechanics of the Agile framework or method and the ability to teach the specific roles, work products, and activities to team members
* Increases team knowledge of Agile/Lean topics helping them understand “why” practices work not just “how”
* Observes & provides consistent, impactful feedback to the team’s Agile development
* Skilled at teaching organizations the benefits of Agile in relationship to process improvement, delivery predictability and stakeholder visibility.
* Stays current with Agility industry trends & explores other perspectives
* Uses a pragmatic approach to guide multiple teams by seeking to understand what they want to achieve and helping them become more effective in achieving it
* Comfortable experimenting with a variety of approaches based on need & fit
* Promotes the use of/experimentation with quality/engineering practices
* Awareness of Agile technology practices and DevOps (e.g., Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing)
* Work with the Product owner to align teams with the product vision, sprint goals, and other necessary information; support short and long-term planning and manage interdependencies
* In collaboration with the product owner(s) ensures the team has a healthy product and Sprint backlog
* Coordinate with other Scrum Masters and their teams on deliverables
* Serve as Scrum Master for 2-3 Agile teams
* Holds regular sprint reviews to demonstrate finished work to stakeholders and celebrate team achievements
* Manage and help the team implement areas of improvement as identified in the Retrospective
* Facilitates dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the team
* Promotes/facilitates communication and collaboration within the Agile team to support value delivery and Sprint commitments
* Enables the team to become high performing through collaboration and a relentless focus on continuous improvement including cross-skilling across the team
