Core Responsibilities:

* Problem Resolution (identification, solutions): Ability to take charge of ambiguous situations and direct resources from all areas (PMO, other ITS teams, project teams, business teams, stakeholders, vendors) to resolve problems and minimize customer impact
* Task Ownership Own multiple projects from initiation through closing. Coordinate a variety of activities on an ongoing basis
* Decision Making: Provides leadership at all times. Establish plans and strategies with clear goals and direction
* Manage team goals and meet deadlines within direct and indirect reports
* Autonomy of Action (independence, discretion, freedom to act): Interaction with all levels of management across the organization. Has significant responsibility for establishing direction and plans to achieve desired outcomes
* Leadership and Influence (formal command, inspiration, persuasion): Strong communication, excellent listener, great facilitator with ability to challenge and manage stakeholders
* Skill Variety (range and significance of skills needed): Project Management, Budget planning and management
* Task Significance (importance and impact of tasks): Responsible for establishing and managing technology plans and strategies with long-term impact on cost and benefit of services
* Contacts and Communication (interactions and purpose): Responsible for providing expert advice and persuading an often diverse audience to take action

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or relevant experience
* Minimum 5 years of experience in ITS project management or related experience
* Minimum of 3 years' experience supervising both on site and remote staff
* Experience analyzing complex business processes and systems used in the commercial transportation industry, supply chain management, logistics, or similar field
* Strong leadership skills and a strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices and procedures, and of project management principles
* Ability to continually evaluate and set priorities, redirect team members, and refocus organizational effort to balance urgent priorities with short and longer-term initiatives
* Demonstrate and apply rigorous, process driven business analysis and project management principles in delivering solutions
* Knowledge in user experience modeling, information design, and concept generation

Desired:
* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
