Are you a motivated team player looking for an opportunity with a highly skilled team of technologists to transform how data is accessed and consumed by customer and employee-facing applications in a modern application stack? Our client is seeking a Sr. Java Developer to join an Operational Data Store team to write Core and Process APIs and microservices in support of our technology transformation. The ideal person has strong Java and Spring Boot experience within business-critical application development works well as part of a dynamic agile team and has experience working with cloud technologies (AWS, Docker, PCF / Kubernetes).


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • 5 years of professional software development experience is required with at least 3 years of experience working with Java
  • Experience working within an Agile Development Methodology
  • Knowledge in working with PaaS ecosystems specifically Cloud Foundry
  • Knowledge of implementing and leveraging Microservice Technology Patterns
  • API-based development
  • API Management and Cataloging
  • Dynamic service registry and discovery
  • Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture Design and RESTful APIs
  • Understanding of Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration and Delivery Practices
  • Experience implementing solutions with React, RabbitMQ, JSON, GIT, Sonar, Artifactory (JFrog), Maven, Mulesoft, Reddis, Spring.io, Spring Cloud & other Spring Frameworks, ORM (Hibernate, JPA), and JDBC
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or a related field or the equivalent in education and experience required
  • Working knowledge of AWS cloud technologies

Core Responsibilities:
  • Use Java and Spring framework to develop clean and effective APIs and microservices alongside front-end technologies including salesforce and react.
  • Analyze, design, develop as well as implement RESTful services and APIs based on architecture guidelines and frameworks
  • Write object-oriented, clean, and maintainable code
  • Complete work independently and as a part of an Agile team to meet development schedules
  • Modify existing programs, prepare test data, participate in story refinement and grooming
  • Solve complex problems through innovative and creative solutions
  • Assess the health and performance of software applications and databases
