Contract to Hire

Seeking a stellar Cloud Engineer skilled in Azure Cloud tools technologies, governance, and innovation to join our team.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Cloud Advocacy:
    • Educate and inspire the business technology group on the benefits and possibilities of cloud technologies.
    • Partner with teams to identify opportunities for cloud migration and modernization.
    • Assist in developing and communicating a compelling cloud adoption strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Cost Governance:
    • Analyze cloud expenditure and identify areas for cost reduction.
    • Implement cost-saving strategies like resource rightsizing, automation, and optimizing service configurations.
    • Help develop and enforce cloud governance policies to ensure responsible spending, adherence to security policies, and compliance with engineer standards.
  • Innovation:
    • Stay informed about the latest cloud trends and technologies.
    • Explore and propose innovative use cases that leverage the cloud to unlock new business value.
    • Design and prototype cloud-based solutions to address critical business challenges.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Implement and manage cloud infrastructure on major platforms (Azure preferred)
    • Automate cloud tasks and workflows using infrastructure as code, scripting languages, and CI/CD platforms.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues.
    • Maintain a secure and compliant cloud environment.
  • Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality in accordance with the expectations established by your supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
 
  • 2+ years of experience working with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
  • Experience with PowerShell, Bicep, Bash, C# or other scripting languages
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture, services, and best practices.
  • Experience working with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for learning and staying updated with the latest cloud technologies.
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
  • Ability to provide seamless, trustworthy, attentive and resourceful (S.T.A.R.) customer service
  • Engages well with others and passionate about providing an exemplary customer experience

Additional Information
  • 6-month contract to hire
  • Remote
  • Remote workers must have a dedicated workspace and 150mb dedicated internet.
  • Remote cannot be in the following states: California; Colorado; Delaware; Hawaii; Illinois; Maryland; Minnesota; Nevada; New Jersey; New York; Oregon; Pennsylvania; Rhode Island; Austin, Texas; Washington; Washington DC
